Wykidd Menswear SS11

WYKIDD Spring/Summer 2011 'Exposed' went on the runway on Friday, at Old School Mount Sophia. Unlike your usual catwalks, the stylists openly dressed the models in the finest clean cuts of the label, which clearly defined the theme of the show.

With artisanal details, the hand stitching on the shirts were definitely complimenting the Springtime look. The label targets the modern male who possesses a hint of urban romance. According to most recent search trends on Yahoo! during Valentines' Day, Singaporean men were looking for right outfits to impress on a date. What better line to suggest than that of Wykidd Song's independent label.

Graduated from Kingston University in 1991, Wykidd Song's successes in the field of fashion in design include having been the first local designer to have retailed under Song + Kelly, at Harrods and Selfridges in London & Neiman Marcus and Barneys in New York. Currently, his young menswear line encapsulates the modern silhouette with traditional hand crafted technique, refined tailoring and detailed finishing.

DPC's favourite picks - graphic cotton T shirts & the slim silhoutted tailored jackets.
