MUGLER WOMENSWEAR A/W 11 & Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga teaches us about standing out from the rest & showcases Mugler's Autumn-Winter Season. Her attitude is provocative however the theatrics takes attention away from the costume-inspired, vibrant pieces. Proving that he is definitely a visionaire, Thierry Mugler affirms fashionistas that he still has the knack for defining style, rebellion & attitude in the trade. Could Gaga, in fact be the Gia of this Millenium?

Wykidd Menswear SS11
WYKIDD Spring/Summer 2011 'Exposed' went on the runway on Friday, at Old School Mount Sophia. Unlike your usual catwalks, the stylists openly dressed the models in the finest clean cuts of the label, which clearly defined the theme of the show.
With artisanal details, the hand stitching on the shirts were definitely complimenting the Springtime look. The label targets the modern male who possesses a hint of urban romance. According to most recent search trends on Yahoo! during Valentines' Day, Singaporean men were looking for right outfits to impress on a date. What better line to suggest than that of Wykidd Song's independent label.
Graduated from Kingston University in 1991, Wykidd Song's successes in the field of fashion in design include having been the first local designer to have retailed under Song + Kelly, at Harrods and Selfridges in London & Neiman Marcus and Barneys in New York. Currently, his young menswear line encapsulates the modern silhouette with traditional hand crafted technique, refined tailoring and detailed finishing.

Charlotte Olympia
Cordwainers graduate and London It-girl Charlotte Olympia Dellal launched her namesake footwear label in 2006. The half-Brazilian, half-English designer's creations are inspired by the glamour of the 1940s, and her statement-making sandals and boots have proved a hit with style-setters like Kate Moss and Sienna Miller. Invest in a pair of signature island-platform pumps for an instant hit of quirky cool.
These gorgeous shoe designs for SS2011 are definitely worth drooling over. We're anxiously awaiting the launch of the new Charlotte Olympia website & e-shop, however head to net-a-porter.com to get a sexy pump or quaint ballet flat. Here are some of our favourites which should begin the droolfest.

The Ladies’ Shirt
From the rise of Metrosexuals among men redefining the meaning of masculinity, androgyny has taken shape among fashion trends today.
A crisis of sexual identity? Evidently among the most fashionable women in the world, the “andro” look is easily carried off as feminine, thus regarded as sexy, despite the masculine references.
The ladies’ shirt; a significant piece in carrying off the Andro style.

Yoann Lemoine has flair for the innocence that the 60s era brings. His direction of lomography photographic styles within his short films, evokes a sense of fragility. Notable works include Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream & most recently released, Taylor Swift’s Back to December. In his interview with MTV.com for Back to December, he accounts for the video’s simplicity.
I wanted people to feel like they would get to know her very intimately, and really trust in what she was saying, I wanted her to perform a very natural way, to make her look very European. This was the main challenge to me. All of Taylor’s world is very far away from my culture, but I saw something in her that could be very rough and heartbreaking; far from the princess glittery outfits and glam that she often goes for.
Linked here, is Yoann’s recent collaboration with Lipton tea. Once again, with the soft pastels and feminine characters sweeping viewers off into a “Alice-in-wonderland” like world
Agency: DDB Paris.
